All children starting at Worsthorne Primary School will receive a New Starters pack at our Parents Meeting.
This will give you lots of information about starting school.
When starting school, it is a statutory requirement that all children are assessed using the baseline assessment. This is NOT a formal test in any way and is a selection of practical activities to help staff plan the next steps of your child’s learning.

You will be sent the details for your child’s own Seesaw account.
This online platform allows us to document your child’s learning journey in Reception Class. This is a way to share photos, videos and learning securely from both home and school.
We will use this platform to help with your child’s transition to school.
